2018 was a flourishing year, with a plethora of amazing records in the prog rock and prog metal genre. Today, I’m extremely honored to announce that “Paradigms” was named Instrumental Prog-Metal Album of the Year on Sonic Perspectives.
You know me, I don’t like music to be ranked, because it’s not a competition or a race for who’s the best. There is no best, only favorites. As the author put it best: “music is a subjective listening experience and our opinions are no more valid than yours”

Heartfelt thanks to Austin Kokel and Joel Barrios.
I will be on the featured album of the week show of Progrock.com with ‘Paradigms’ on Friday January 11 (7pm UK time, 2pm EST) with DJ Peter O’Neill.
Come hang in the chatroom and ask me anything, and we’ll listen to a few tunes from Paradigms together www.progrock.com/chat.
It’s guitar surgery day.
This is my Ibanez RG3120. It’s getting old, I got it back in 2002. The control knobs and output jack started making crackling sounds lately. (I think somebody lives in there, and scrambles eggs every time I plug in).
Luckily I have a $10 soldering gun which is not cooperating for obvious reasons, and this is probably the second time I ever used a soldering gun, so expect things to go very, very terribly.
And to end the year on a high note, I’d like to specially thank you for your outstanding support and love. I have read the countless heartfelt, inspiring and motivational messages from a lot of you, and I am extremely thankful and lucky for being able to make music for you, and to have you as a fan and even more than a fan, a friend.
I hope the new year brings lots of exciting moments to you, full of sex, drugs and rock ‘n roll!
I’M RICH SUCKERSSS.
What a sad state for the music industry.
